How to use the Texture Paste

Apply the paste

Stir the texture paste thoroughly before use. Apply the paste on your base. The paste can be applied to approximately 1-2 cm thickness in one layer. You can use the paste as is, or colour it with acrylic paint before applying.

Create the pattern

Create the pattern you want. You can use various tools such as plaster knives and combs to mold the texture paste while it is wet. Allow the paste to dry. Drying time depends on the thickness of the layer, but usually 24 hours is enough.

Paint your artwork

Once the textures are dry, you can paint on top of them with acrylic paint. Full coverage might require 2-3 layers of acrylic paint. You can also sand and sculpt the dry texture paste.

Finish and enjoy

For extra protection, you can varnish your artwork with acrylic varnish once it is fully dry. Enjoy your new art, and if you share it on social media, remember to tag me (@textuuri) for a chance to be featured!
